Mothers tend to be short on time... so if they going to make some
extra money selling a product from the comfort of their own home
they're going to need :
1# A product to sell
2# A targeted market that wants your product and has the motivation
to buy said product.
So ideally they need something that they have an unlimited supply of
that does not have to much competition, is easy to pack and ship
and most important of all will return a good profit.
Once they've found the answer to that they're are on their way.
Here's are a few clues.
Most people surfing the Internet are not looking to buy something,
they're looking for information.
Most visitors to eBay are looking to buy once they've found what
they're looking for.
Information sells very well on eBay.
Mothers have lots of specialist information that would sell well on
eBay.
They can literally have their product up for sale on eBay and in
front of a global audience in a matter of minutes, accept payment
in a number of different currencies and if their product is in
digital format, like an ebook for example they won't even have to
leave home to post it.
There are a few simple skills that will need to be learned to be
successful on eBay and they are:
a. Be able to take good photos and upload them to eBay.
b. Write a good compelling sales letter that has the ability to
convert auction visitors to buyers.
c. Learn some basic HTML code to enhance their listings.
d. Successfully manage their auctions. eBay's feedback system does
a good job in keeping high business standards in regard to buying
and selling.
Items need to be wrapped and posted within a reasonable time and
feed back must be left that can be viewed by everyone.
When you think about it, it doesn't really get much easier for
mothers who are at home with children to at least start and try
this form of online marketing.
They don't need to spend any m0ney to open an account with
eBay and even if their item doesn't sell, the listing costs are
minimal.
Once they've found a good product, the ultimate goal is to have as
much of their business automated as possible and again this is why
selling on eBay can be so effective and profitable.
Once they have a system down pat, they can work as much or a as
little as they want to and all from the comfort of their own home.
Try starting out small. Try to make 20 dollars a day or an extra
$50 a week. This will show very quickly what works and what doesn't
work.
A couple of hours a day on their eBay business can add substantial
extra weekly income once they've got their system going.
Strive for automation and efficiency and they'll find eBay to be
one of the best marketing mediums for mothers who want to earn
m0ney from home.
Remember, if they deal in digital items then they save considerably
more valuable time to spend with their family.
And that is the real beauty of eBay.
Of course, you don't have to be a mother or a father to benefit
from this information. But if you are, it can help.
